Meet Shakari
Growing up, I thrived in math. I always performed at an advanced level. Since math is all about solving problems, it made me feel good to know that I could be right by finding solutions to problems.
Over time, I’ve gained experience by tutoring my peers and kids K - 12. As my love grew for math, I decided to use my gift to help others struggling in the subject. Math taught me there’s a solution for everything!
With a B.S. in Systems Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University and M.S. in Engineering Management from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, my goal is for students to feel more confident and in control when it comes to math and solving problems. Math can be scary, but I want to help students succeed and show them this is an obstacle they can overcome. With The Math Connect, I hope to bring more clarity and enjoyment to math all.
